Information for residents of Long Preston who are supplied water by Long Preston Water Trust
Water from the reservoir is tested monthly by North Yorkshire County Council at the treatment plant and also at a randomly selected address in the village. The last test date was 2 July 2025, and the water was found to comply with the required standards. On the very rare standards that it does not comply, residents are informed and advised accordingly.
The water is filtered and it passes through an ultraviolet unit. Please be assured that Long Preston Water Trust does everything possible to ensure that its customers are drinking safe water.
